St. Joseph's 2018 Oktoberfest is set for Friday and Saturday, September 14 and 15.
Along with food and music, our Oktoberfest will include activities each day!
All activities will take place on the lower (east) parking lot and northeast grounds along Park Drive (comparable to 120th street), between Center and Hadley streets.
Activities for children include: scarecrow making, bounce houses, kids games, face painting, dunk tank (with many St. Joe's "celebrities") and more!
Festival food both days includes corn, hamburgers, leberkase, sausages, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, baked potato bar, pretzels and popcorn.
Help make our Oktoberfest a success by volunteering! See the sign-up sheets in the back of church, or volunteer via our Sign-up Genius page.
If you make your own beer, we’d love to hear from you about our home brewing contest. Please e-mail email@example.com.
New to St. Joseph's Oktoberfest this year will be a volleyball tournament that will determine the King and Queen of Oktoberfest. But this isn't just a volleyball tournament; participants will also compete in games of hammerschlagen and bean bag toss! The volleyball games, which will start at 2 p.m. Saturday, will follow King of the Beach rules.
We'll have 4-person and 6-person teams. Sign up as a couple or, if needed, we'll match you with another person. Cost is $40 per couple. Sign up by September 1 to receive a gift at check-in!
Try your skills at our first annual Stein Holding Competition, or Masskrugstemmen, to be held both Friday and Saturday nights, September 14 and 15, when the headlining band takes its first break. $15 entry fee includes a glass liter stein full of Oktoberfest beer and your chance to win a $50 cash prize if you can hold your stein up the longest. One winner each night! Sign up early at the fest to participate. MUST BE 21 TO ENTER. Check out the official rules to begin practicing: US Steinholding Association Rules
