Welcome to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wauwatosa, Wis.

We are all pilgrim people on different legs of the journey home. At St. Joseph, we pray for all to encounter Christ, be transformed by Christ, and accept Christ's commission to spread the Gospel.

St Joseph Statue, St Joseph Catholic Church, WauwatosaIf you've been away from the church for a long time or short time, you're still welcome at God's home. If you are coming from another faith tradition or no tradition at all, we welcome you home to the Christian Church founded by Jesus and expanded by his apostles to all people.

If you've moved into the neighborhood and are looking for a vibrant parish for your faith life, we welcome you to our Christian family.

We're happy to answer questions about our parish, about the Mass, about Catholicism and the Catholic Church today, and about how we as a parish of St. Joseph in Wauwatosa can serve you.

"One of the best parishes I have ever belonged to." – Andrea S.

As Roman Catholic Christians, we are evangelical in our commitment to sharing Christ as commissioned through our baptisms. And we are apostolic in carrying on the mission Christ entrusted to the Apostles and to his church. Our parish is faithfully part of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Milwaukee.

If you are ready for more, we have ministries and programs to support people returning to active parish life. Among those are numerous Bible study groups, and RCIA, the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults that will help bring you fully into the Church. We also have a Rite of Christian Initiation for Children program.

Call us with any questions or needs: 414-771-4626. Or, stop in the Welcome Center in church after Mass the second weekend of each month, where a parish representative can assist you or answer questions.

"My daughter, daughter-in-law, and I attended 10:30 Mass at St. Joe's on Sunday, July 11, 2021. We were visiting in Tosa for the weekend. What a gift your parish community gave us! We are all part of a vibrant and faith-filled parish community in Green Bay (St. Matthew Parish in Allouez.) We are used to a community that sings and worships with energy and enthusiasm so from the beginning of Mass we took quick note of the full participation of your worship community. As Mass went on, the Spirit continued to fill the congregation. We were blown away and walked out of Mass on fire! Thank you, thank you, thank you all for praying the Mass and sharing the Eucharist as is befitting the miracle it is. May God continue to bless the St. Joseph Parish Community."
