Dennis Sylva

Dennis Sylva is the director of Adult Formation at St. Joseph. Prior to joining St. Joseph, he taught Biblical Studies for many years at St. Francis Seminary, the seminary of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, and was a director of Christian Formation first at St. Jerome in Oconomowoc and then at St. John Vianney in Brookfield.

Dennis started at St. Joseph on July 1, 2019.

Through series and individual presentations, he hopes to provide regular opportunities for informed, spiritually nourishing, and transformative Bible Studies, discussions on contemporary issues that call for a Christian moral response, and explorations of various features of our faith and how they guide and empower our lives.

There will also be series on important topics such as the Incarnation (the Son of God becoming man while remaining God), hope, prayer, continued moral reform, the resurrection, and the Holy Spirit tied into important times in the liturgical year, such as Advent, Lent, Easter and Pentecost.
